Congratulations to Dr. Skaggs, who is serving his first year of a three-year term on the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Board of Directors. He is the Class AAA representative for the East District.
The OHSAA is the governing body of high school and junior high sports in Ohio. It is a voluntary, nonprofit organization that oversees 817 high schools and 747 middle schools, which includes approximately 400,000 student-athletes.
Throughout his career in education, Dr. Skaggs has served as a coach for various sports, as president of the East District Athletic Board, on the executive board for the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference, and is co-founder of the Buckeye 8 Athletic League. In this role, he is excited to support and enhance athletic opportunities for Ohio’s student-athletes and to serve as a voice for small, rural schools at the state level.
St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools is one of seven districts in Belmont County that is a member of OHSAA’s East District.
What an honor to have Dr. Skaggs representing our students in this way!
