Exciting changes are coming to St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools, where science labs are about to get a makeover.
Four science labs will soon be updated with the latest equipment, while another will be transformed into a Makerspace, a creative area where students can design, build, and experiment using cutting-edge tools like 3D printers and other advanced technology.
The renovations will be funded through the district’s Permanent Improvement Fund. These funds can only be used for capital improvements with an estimated life of five years or more.
“Our students deserve learning environments that inspire them and set them up for success,” said Superintendent Dr. Walt Skaggs. “The updated labs and creation of a Makerspace will equip students with the tools and experiences they need to thrive beyond high school, particularly in STEM-related fields.”
Request for qualifications (RFQs) were recently published and the design process is now underway. Additional updates will be shared on the district website and social media channels.
